Hong Mei Buffet in Mooresville

I found a dead fly in my plate of noodle. The manager rewarded me $5 for that fly in my plate without saying a thing but acting like I should be gratitude for having $5 off.

Decent Chinese buffet. The food was hot with many selections. Prices were what you would expect.

I Enjoyed My Hibachi Note: It was made "Fresh" right in front of me. The Waitress we had always kept our Drinks FULL and all the Food that I had was Hot & Delicious! Altho, My Girlfriend didn't like the beef used in her Hibachi she said, it was though and chewy. But, She did enjoy the rest of her food that she got...The Atmosphere is Pleasant and Relaxing. And I will come back here to eat from time to time. It is Overall, a Nice Place to Have Some Delicious Chinese Food. @ a Great Price! It is All you can Eat! And I am Full...I got to go do a #3 😉👍😁😎✌

Poor quality food, rude diners with I'll mannered kids, servers coughing without covering mouth. Wont be back.

It's been awhile since we have eaten here, so I was super excited to go this evening... service was below acceptable.... several items on cold bar were spoiled... soup chips stale... the quality was definitely below standards today... very disappointed!!

Was pretty good than what I had thought it might be, cheap for the buffet and they have a ton of food. The bathrooms was about the only problem I had with the place, one of the stalls had no door on it and the sinks aren't great either. Other than that, I liked it.

My go to Chinese food in Mooresville. Carry out by the pound is good for me. Ive been eating here for a decade. Fresh fruit veggies & Sweet-n-sour chicken

It was ok... sushi selection was poor even tho its supposed to be a sushi bar. Lots of dinner buffet options... staff is ok. Most meats are over cooked.

We went there to eat Christmas Day. I cannot recommend but apparently I'm in the minority because the place was jammed.

It's ok. It's a Chinese buffet. You pretty much know what you're getting when you walk in the door.

All of the staff were friendly and welcoming. It's a great place for family or low-key date. We ate at 3 pm, and fresh food came out at 4 pm. So the chicken buffet items were a bit chewy and dry. Everything else was great.They need a cleaner ladies' bathroom.

Price is too high for the quality of the food. Every option on the sushi bar was fake "krab" meat. The main selection was exactly what you'd expect from your typical "Chinese buffet"; the items that are usually just reheated frozen food were consistent but the items usually made in house were not. Even for buffet food, it was lacking, which would be fine at a more reasonably priced establishment. But if you price yourself at the higher end of buffet style dining, your food needs to be better than the low side of reasonable expectations for such places.

The food on the buffet is almost always hot and fresh and there's plenty of variety. The people are nice. Many that I've spoken to during our many visits over the years have trouble understanding if you need to as a question. On a previous trip I tried asking if any of the sauce options for the grill do not have sugar, and the nice cook lady did not know or understand. Today I ordered a couple soups to go when we arrived so they'd be ready before we were done eating, and they never came to the table. I thought they'd be up front, but the nice lady up front had not asked for them to be made "but they're quick, just 3-5 minutes." Any minutes are hard when you're on your own with two children so it would have been nice if they'd been ready. But regardless, the people are nice and the food is good. We won't stop coming just for any of these misunderstandings! My kiddos also like the ice cream on the way out :)

This is ARMS DOWN the BEST Buffet (aside from Golden Corral) I've ever been to!! Food was fresh and taste great!!! Also, had a lot of options and a side of food that I didn't even get to touch bc I was so focused on the main Buffet, they had the seafood I like and all!! I think the side I didn't get to was the hibachi side where you pick what you want grilled and I seen sushi as well over there for you sushi lovers out there lol.. Overall GREAT place to eat!! My family will definitely be back and I encourage you to try if you haven't yet!! We went on a Sunday morning, well afternoon (around 12-1) so everything was great and definitely worth the price!

I come here all the time hoping that the food will taste better but every time I come it is always always spoiled tasting and sour. Literally everything..sucks. Think I’m gonna stop coming. It’s great service and great people. They just can’t cook.

Food is great! Many choices.. atmosphere is laid back..Average buffet cost around $11.

I enjoy Chinese Buffets usually, but this place was was really poor. Food tasted bad, everything was dirty and it smelled like a gas station bathroom. When we are talking about seafood (which a person could easily become sick) you hope for at least clean.... but Sushi tasted like dirt and shrimp had that funky taste when they probably haven’t been refrigerated properly. There are much better options available in Charlotte for a Chinese Buffet experience. Try if you want, but you will be disappointed.

I took my 13 yr. son there for lunch. After we were seated. I asked the waitress for a menu so my son could order his fried rice from it instead of getting the buffet. She brought the menu over with another woman who asked " why my son would order off the menu instead of having the buffet?" I had to explain to her that my son normally doesn't eat a lot of food during a meal and the buffet would be a waste of money when he could take the fried rice that he couldn't finish home to eat later. She looked shocked. After we ate and I went to pay for our meals , I noticed that they charged me just about the same price for his fried rice as what I had to pay for my buffet. I don't care to go back since there are other places that have a cheaper menu and buffet.

Population can be a little on the white trash side at times. Some people can be highly ignorant of cultural differences, language barriers, or lack common decency towards another person. If you can stop from being angry at the idiots that come in and focus on the excellent service, personable servers, and cleanly dining areas then you can enjoy this place. Unlimited sushi for no additional cost at lunch or dinner. Great place overall!

I have never seen a Buffett as large and with so many different options! Everything was so good. The prices are great and staff is so kind and tentative. Great experience. Highly recommend. Will be back!!

They are so KIND Iv’e been here for about 2 years and It’s AMAZING although the restroom are dirty, the food is amazing as always I recommend coming

Food was great. A little something for everyone

We've been going there for a long time but tonight will be our last visit ever. It was beyond bad. About half of the pans on the buffet were empty and most others had just a tiny bit of food in them which had been there quite a while. We got there just a little after 5:00 pm. The entire time we were there I saw no effort to fill any of the empty pans. Even with the modest senior discount it was around $25 for my wife and I. I would have been much more satisfied tonight with a $5 burger from somewhere. If they even have management, they need to get a handle on this or I doubt we'll be the only lost customers.

I used to go here alot . Well I came back a few weeks ago I was like it's probably just a bad day here well I come back as of today again thinking it will be better I am so disgusted the food was all cold and the staff just rude . I didnt get any refills plates stayed on the tables when they were done and I couldn't help but notice the staff all playing on there phones I'm pretty sure there was a bug in my food and my daughter saw that I put it in a napkin and even asked why there was a bug in my food . Won't be back

Very good food, flavor and taste. great variety and good prices. The place has a good and elegant decoration. I give it only 4 stars because of the 3 that attended us, only one, the waitress, gave us a smile. The one that received us and the one that seems in charge did not smile. It is not only having a good price and a good product, it is also finding a smile. At the exit the counter girl laughed to say goodbye but the first impression is what counts! I would go again but expecting a better welcome.

The food was pretty good ,but this place needs an update.I was hesitant to go,but my son chose this spot. Servers are polite and attentive. It just looks dirty and they need a furniture upgrade. I don't feel comfortable dining there.

Go during peak dinner hours and it's almost guaranteed that you'll have a delicious hot meal full of variety. I've never been for lunch or on a weekday evening, but Friday and Saturday night they definitely have a great buffet.

Arrived at 8:45 and they close at 9:30. Selection was good quality was fair. Nothing really fresh. Staff was courteous and friendly.

This was some of the WORST food I’ve ever had in a buffet establishment. I’m not a picky person at all but the issues I’ve come across here were definitely worth this review. There were chunks of random things in my ice cream. After complaining about the pineapples being rancid I was rudely dismissed and he went to “switch them out”. Afterwards my 16 year old cousin went to get a fresh plate and they were still very sour and mushy. I’m disappointed in this lunch today. I’m giving this ZERO stars

If I could give this a zero food was cold our waitress was on the phone when coming to our table . I asked for fresh food and they gave me a dirty look on top of it having a hair in something that I ate . Smh my drink when it was gone wasn't refilled .
